Getting started
What Restro is, how the pieces fit together, and how to get your first order in.
Restro is a restaurant operating system. One place to build your menu, take orders from every channel, run the floor and the kitchen, track stock, pay your team, and see what actually made money.
#The four surfaces
Restro is one product with four faces, all reading and writing the same data.
| Surface | Who uses it | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your staff | Managing the restaurant: menu, orders, stock, people, reports |
| Website | Your customers | Your branded ordering site with your own domain |
| Mobile app | Your customers | Native iOS and Android ordering |
| Point of sale | Your staff | Taking orders at the counter, at the table, and in the kitchen |
Throughout this help centre, users means the people who work at your restaurant and sign in to the dashboard or the apps. Customers means the diners who order from you.
#What to read first
If you are setting Restro up for the first time, work through the pages in this section in order. If you are looking for one specific answer, use the search box at the top of the page.
Developers connecting Restro to another system should skip ahead to the Public API.
